Competitive pay: We offer competitive wages, plus incentive pay for past experience.
Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance: 100% employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance for the employee. The employee can add family at the employee’s expense.
20-Year Retirement: All new hires get 20-year retirement with the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). EMS of LeFlore County puts 15% toward retirement contributions.
Life Insurance: We pay for our employee’s basic life insurance policies of $20,000 for the employee, plus $6,000 for your spouse, plus $3,000 for each of your dependents all free of charge.
Paid Training: We pay for our employee’s card classes. In-house CE’s are every month and our employees are paid to attend.
Different Scheduling options: At EMSLC, we offer 12-hour shifts and limited 8-hour shifts, subject to availability.
Meal reimbursement: If you take a long-distance transfer (OKC, Tulsa, Muskogee, Dallas, Little Rock, Fayetteville, etc.), lunch is on us! Turn in your itemized meal receipt, and we will reimburse you up to $20 per person.
Uniform Allowance: Full time employees get $300/year and PRN employees get $150/year to purchase approved uniform items from our online uniform webstore.
Longevity Pay: The longer you work for EMSLC, we pay you for your longevity here. After 2 years of fulltime employment, you get $250 before Christmas. Then every two years, it increases. It goes up to $2,000/yr at 20 years. Then an additional $200 every two years after 20 years.
Holiday pay: We pay 7 holidays at double-time pay.
Leave time: We offer paid vacation time, sick time, and bereavement leave. The longer you work at EMSLC, the more leave time you accrue monthly.
Short-term disability: We pay $12/mo. toward a short-term disability policy from Aflac.
EMS Training Tuition Assistance: You can apply for tuition assistance to advance to a higher license level, as long as you are a fulltime employee.
